Equal Opportunities

Talent, creativity and passion - those are the qualities the Max Planck Society relies on. The Society supports employees irrespective of their gender, nationality, religion, disabilities, age, cultural background or sexual identity. After all, the basis for the cutting-edge research conducted at 86 Max Planck Institutes lies in diversity.

In order to putting into action the Equal Opportunities commandment, which is described in the German Federal Law, the Max Planck Society has set internal goals to foster gender equality in terms of the promotion of women. To achieve a balanced employment of women and men, the MPG strives for a permanent implementation of the family-conscious personnel policy. The Equal Opportunities Commissioner of our network helps with the implementation of these goals and is also contact person for all questions regarding gender equality and gender sensibility.
